Learning methods
The program uses a range of strategies to ensure the learning is specific to the individual and incorporated to ensure long-term behaviour change. Strategies include:
- The process of reflection is used extensively throughout the program to draw out personal insights and to ensure that the material relates directly to each individual's experience.
- Dialogue and team processes to foster group learning and to build self-efficacy.
- Personal behavioural monitoring and analysis - Participants evaluate their own progress and undertake a self-monitoring program that continues throughout the training and beyond.
- Comprehensive questionnaires have been designed for this program to link the content directly to the individual’s own experiences and behaviours.
- Pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvements in performance.
- Practical exercises, practice and feedback.
- Bio-feedback to reveal the mind-body link and the physical influences on thinking.
- Accelerated learning techniques.
- Case studies.
- A compact disk is provided to enable participants to practice and develop the skills between workshops
- Peer coaching. Participants work in teams and/or pairs to provide coaching and support both during and after the program.
